２「我親愛的弟兄們，這是你們所知道的，但你們各人要快快的聽，慢慢的說，慢慢的動怒；因為人的忿怒並不成就神的義。」（雅1:19-20）

You know this, my beloved brothers; but let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; For the wrath of man does not accomplish the righteousness of God.(Jas.1:19-20)

３「暴怒的人挑啟爭端；不輕易發怒的人止息紛爭。」（箴15:18）

A wrathful man stirs up contention, But he who is slow to anger quiets strife.(Prov.15:18)

４「不輕易發怒的，勝過勇士；治服己靈的，強如取城。」（箴16:32）

He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty; And he who rules his spirit, than he who captures a city.(Prov.16:32)

５「人有明智就不輕易發怒；不追究人的過失，便是自己的榮耀。」（箴19:11）

The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, And it is his glory to overlook a transgression.(Prov.19:11)

６「耶和華對該隱說，你為甚麼發怒？你為甚麼垂下臉來？你若行得好，豈不仰起臉來麼？你若行得不好，罪就伏在門前；他要戀慕你，但你必須管轄他。」（創4:6-7）

And Jehovah said to Cain, Why are you angry, and why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and his desire is for you, but you must rule over him.(Ge.)

７「所以你在祭壇前獻禮物，若想起你的弟兄向你懷怨，就要把禮物留在壇前，先去與你的弟兄和好，然後來獻禮物。」（太5:23-24）

Therefore if you are offering your gift at the altar and there you remember that your brother has something against you, Leave your gift there before the altar, and first go and be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.(Mt.5:23-24)

８「生氣卻不要犯罪，不可含怒到日落，」（弗4:26）

Be angry, yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your indignation,(Eph.4:26)

９「一切苦毒、惱恨、忿怒、喧嚷、毀謗，同一切的惡毒，都要從你們中間除掉。你們要以恩慈相待，心存慈憐，彼此饒恕，正如神在基督裡饒恕了你們一樣。」（弗4:31-32）

Let all bitterness and anger and wrath and clamor and evil speaking be removed from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ also forgave you.(Eph.4:31-32)

１０「所以，我願男人無忿怒，無爭論，舉起虔聖的手，隨處禱告。」（提前2:8）

I desire therefore that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and reasoning;(1Ti.2:8)
